- If shuffle is on, the "queue" is independent from the playlist, therefore the queued songs will play in priority, than go back to shuffle mode. If you use "play next" while in shuffle mode, your songs will be ignored as the playlist position changes after each song.
- with "queue" it's a first in, first out mode, therefore if you request multiple songs, the first one requested will play first, then in the order they were requested. With play next (if shuffle is off obviously), the last request will bump requests that were made earlier.
"queue list" is an add-on, but it seems to integrate with the core environment; F3 adds song to queue and F4 show current queue (playlist).
What I would like to see is simply :
- an extra option to "queue" the selected song (F3)
- a shortcut to the queue (F4) which automatically refreshes it before displaying.
Thanks for the reply; 2 main differences:
- If shuffle is on, the "queue" is independent from the playlist, therefore the queued songs will play in priority, than go back to shuffle mode. If you use "play next" while in shuffle mode, your songs will be ignored as the playlist position changes after each song.
