Add ability to tag and delete tracks from library and computer.
Includes all tags and cover image/album art.
Either in long click tab or options box?

This is a quite complicated feature, so please be patient. ;)

Please implement with a safety confirmation when deleting files permanently from source.

Star ratings are already implemented! :) See Help (in the left menu).

Just Star ratings please. It's taken a long time to clean up my library... I don't trust any app to make changes.

I was thinking layout, yeah. But you've already helped -- I'll keep your ideas handy when I start the development. :)

If you mean screen layouts, I would be happy to help.
If you mean how to code, sorry, our nights are not long enough here for me to know anything about that! Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for your thoughts, Jim! Not quite sure how I should do the editing, but your suggestions sounds interesting.
And yeah, deleting files is very scary. Just imagine what chaos my app could make if it had a bug! So I think I'll leave that to MediaMonkey.

New user here!
The first question that jumps to mind on use is: "Great - can I safely fine-tune any of the properties whilst listening to a track - using my phone and this product?".* Star ratings would be great, followed by
* The Classification set: Tempo, Mood, Occasion (and Quality); where I often use several values for each field (EG background; dinner; romantic). A series of tick-boxes could be used, populated by the values that are already in the MMw nodes (or at least the first 10).
* Finally, I have a CUSTOM Field for "Who's Favourite" and it would be good to enter a friend's name that comments "Hey, I love that song!", etc. Again it could be a tick-box populated as above.
It would be great to be able to edit these fields safely using MMRemote, and making them PRO features is not a problem as getting to these fields requires GOLD MediaMonkey, so you are addressing an audience that are happy to pay for the more discerning features.
As for deleting the server's files, I think it is fine to simply give them a LOW star rating, then, back in MMw, we just sort by RATING and delete all at once from that safer place.
Thanks,
Jim Kelly

Noted. This feature will hopefully come, but I can't promise when. ;)

If and when this gets implemented, I'll have to contribute a 3rd time. As long as it let's me again.

I would love this feature, I'm always editing the grouping id3 tag to label tracks with keywords that generate auto playlists. I'm fine having MediaMonkey remote require a password as well, either at a global level, bonus/pro level, or only if write features are attempted. Thanks!

Another option how this could be implemented would be to add some hotkey buttons (I made a suggestion of course) and bind those hotkeys to some genres for instance. Like that, you have only limited possibilities of interacting through your tablet and the security issue is less severe? In any case, thanks a lot for this great app!

The ability to delete files from the library would be extremely useful, and if one needed to enter a password, maybe on a per sesion basis, to enable the feature - so be it.
In general though I think it is great app - well worth the contrbution I made. Thank you. Adi -

you can also make this a pro feature and I'll donate for the app! :-)

password protection for this feature would be perfect!

Good point about security. I never thought about that.

I am a little bit reluctant to add such features, since they would introduce a security concern (if anybody managed to connect to your server, they would now be able to completely mess up your music library).
However, if this is a much wanted feature, I guess I could force the user to set up a password before these features could be used.
