Perhaps change the title to "Windows PC Client" or "Windows Notebook or Desktop Client" so we don't think you are referring to a Windows phone . . .

    Wondering why this is useful?
Your music PC is connected to your amp and lovely big speakers, all driven beautifully by MediaMonkey for Windows. But you are sitting in the sun with your Windows Notebook doing some work nearby. Being able to Remote Control your music system utilising the (big) display already in front of you sounds like a great idea to me. Maybe I am missing something here, but each time I look at linking a second MMW system to the same data it all gets way too confusing and dangerous. Please correct me if wrong!

    Thanks,

At first I thought this might be already implemented as "Homescreen shortcuts" in the Donation version . . . but then I see reference to "scripts for library tagging". Now that is an area that I find most interesting as it would be great to be able to go about your normal stuff to do with your phone handy, listening to music, and adjusting all sorts of tags for each track as it plays. Actually, even being able to see what the current tags are set to would be most useful so that you get a sense that all is as you expect it to be. But of course as soon as it needs adjusting we will want to be able to safely edit them too!

This gets three votes from me!

If anyone is doing this cleverly (on MMW) with scripts I'd like to learn how, please add here!

    Thanks,
    Jim Kelly

Yes! Someone asks if you can play a particular Artist or even an Album. I want to oblige but restrict to just the tracks that I have given five stars to, or maybe 5+4 if too few 5s, or (cringing) 5+4+3. No, let's make that all 5 then all 4 and lastly all 3 star rated songs!

    Thanks,

Sounds essential, including a long-press "Mute" to use when the phone rings!

And maybe a quick-press gives a "Half-mute" to use if the music just needs to be quieter for a few moments (rather than off)? I'd imagine that some punters would want that quick action to cycle through half-down > mute > half-louder > back to original volume.

    Thanks,

I haven't explored collections in MMW yet, but I'd like to see the ability to quickly set an over-riding rule from a list like:
"Only show 4 and 5 star tracks"
    "Only show 5 star tracks"
"Only show tracks that need to have a star rating"
To better cater for the different reasons for using the app, probably similar in thought to why "Collections" are important, to quickly narrow down the choices for the current moment.

    Thanks,

If you mean screen layouts, I would be happy to help.
If you mean how to code, sorry, our nights are not long enough here for me to know anything about that!

    Thanks,

    Jim

    New user here!
The first question that jumps to mind on use is: "Great - can I safely fine-tune any of the properties whilst listening to a track - using my phone and this product?".

    * Star ratings would be great, followed by

    * The Classification set: Tempo, Mood, Occasion (and Quality); where I often use several values for each field (EG background; dinner; romantic). A series of tick-boxes could be used, populated by the values that are already in the MMw nodes (or at least the first 10).

    * Finally, I have a CUSTOM Field for "Who's Favourite" and it would be good to enter a friend's name that comments "Hey, I love that song!", etc. Again it could be a tick-box populated as above.

It would be great to be able to edit these fields safely using MMRemote, and making them PRO features is not a problem as getting to these fields requires GOLD MediaMonkey, so you are addressing an audience that are happy to pay for the more discerning features.

As for deleting the server's files, I think it is fine to simply give them a LOW star rating, then, back in MMw, we just sort by RATING and delete all at once from that safer place.

    Thanks,

    Jim Kelly
