How can the MediaMonkey Remote be improved?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. No Connection Without Pressing Stop or Play When Opening App

    When I open the app on my HTC One, no connection is made to the server and I can't browse my library. If I press play or stop, the app immediately connects. It should connect upon opening and browsing, should it not? This seems like a minor initial connection bug.

  2. allow the lyrics of the song to be displayed

    Like in the album art in mediamonkey have the album darken and show lyrics
    Or make it Optional if people do not like this

  3. Holo skin

    The app currently looks like Android looked like 3 or 4 years ago. The Holo style that is present almost everywhere nowadays would make this app look amazing.

  4. Extend play timer to hours

    Hello,
    I think it would be great if the timer, how long a song is and how long it is playing, would show hours if the time is greater than 60 minutes.

  5. a possibility to correct properties special the genre

    a possibility to correct properties.
    special for me to correct the Genre.

    Ps: Nobody library is perfect. My library absolute, too. Spezial the genre! A genre-correct-function would like a possibiliy to correct it during the listening

  6. video list in the app

    It would be nice to see the video list in the app as well, instead of needing to search for the name of the video. I just got media monkey and the remote app today and i love it. That's the only thing that has bugged me. Thank you.

    Cover is now showing in the search results. If needed, re-add the other ideas as separate ideas. (Sorting is already added, not sure about bitrate). Please make sure to explain the ideas properly, so I can understand what you want. :)

  11. Don't play notification sound when raising/lowering volume using volume +/- buttons

    Currently, the app plays a sort of system sound when I raise/lower volume using the hardware volume +/- rocker. Since I leave my phone volume rather high (so that I'll actually notice it if it goes off), this notification sound is rather loud and obnoxious, especially since it plays it every time i hit the buttons. Please allow me to turn off this notification sound in the settings, I don't want it to play at all if possible. Thanks :).

  17. Add ability to play an occasion, genre etc. (randomly)

    I can't see a way to select all of an occasion, genre, artist quickly from the remote. In the application it's just a double-click in the column view. An easy interface for the remote might be press and hold the genre. Or perhaps allow them to be selected and then an action taken.

  19. Show lyrics stored on my PC through the MiniLyrics plug in

    I have installed the MiniLyrics lyrics editor and player as an add-on to MediaMonkey. So I can store, edit and watch synchronised lyrics on my PC.
    Its a great add-on, specially because most of my collection is in FLAC, with no way to embed the lyrics in the file.

    The thing I would love would be to be able to watch the lyrics showing on my Android phone when i use it as a remote.

  20. Timer for shut down

    a timer for the shut down would be great. something like:
    - shut down now
    - shut down in ... minutes

    so you can listen music in bed and the laptop wont work the whole nigth ^^
